Just Put It in ECON
The Civic now gives you a quick and easy way
to drive in the most frugal manner possible. Just push the ECON button[1]. The Civic
engine and other power-using systems will then go into super-efficient mode to
maximize your fuel efficiency.
Onboard Eco Coach
For an interactive approach to squeezing
every mile out of a gallon, keep an eye on the blue and green bars on either
side of the speedometer. That's the Honda EcoAssist [1] feature, the same system found in our hybrid
models. Keep it in the green, and you'll go farther. Don't need the help? You
can always turn it off.
The Bottom Line: Higher MPG[2]
All of the gas-saving technology in the new
Civic may help you get an estimated 39 mpg on the highway[2]. And in the new Civic HF, an estimated 41 mpg[3]. That's money in the tank.
Greener Thinking
Now, every 2012 Civic with an automatic
transmission earns a PZEV (Partial-Zero-Emission Vehicle) rating in states that
adhere to CARB standards[4].
